LitePoint provides the MangoFire Community, powered by LitePoint, as a service to its product users. Our goal is to help our users exchange ideas, tips, information and techniques related to LitePoint products and all things wireless, including IoT.
The MangoFire Community is here for the benefit of all members and is accessible to all who register and are at least 13 years old. Like any community, the MangoFire Community is most valuable when everyone obeys certain rules for appropriate online behavior. This code of conduct is presented here so that you know what’s expected of you and what you can expect from other participants when using the MangoFire Community.
MangoFire reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to:
- Edit and/or remove any post containing or linking to material in violation of these Rules of Engagement.
- Disable the membership of any user who violates these Rules of Engagement.
- If you are unsure if your content may violate these Rules, please ask a MangoFire Community Manager prior to posting.
- Questions, comments, or help requests regarding a MangoFire service or LitePoint product should be posted to the proper, corresponding page.
- If you are unsure about a specific MangoFire Community feature or function, check the Community Help page.
- Questions or concerns regarding actions taken by any user MUST be directed to a MangoFire Community Manager via Private Message or email ONLY. Comments or discussions that belong in Moderation but instead appear on public spaces, will be removed.
- MangoFire and LitePoint employees may be identified by a logo icon in the lower right corner of their avatar. They are happy to help you.
Everyone wants to have a positive experience while in the MangoFire Community. Please make sure that you’re not detracting from any other user's experience. In particular, never post anything unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, profane, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties.
Your opinions are always welcome; but personal attacks and harassment in either the MangoFire Community or through messaging are not acceptable. Always be respectful of your fellow community members.
Keep it relevant.
For everyone's benefit please stay on topic. The MangoFire Community is specifically provided to allow LitePoint customers and IoT professionals and enthusiasts to help each other in their efforts. Please avoid discussing personal matters and never abuse any company or product or sell outside services or products. Please do not post content unrelated to the purpose and intent of this community.
Keep it clear.
Please communicate clearly so everyone may understand. Avoid using slang, "net speak" or any other wording that might be difficult for all users to understand. Please try to remember to spellcheck your content before posting. Apply formatting and include images as is helpful to convey your message.
Keep it spam-free.
This community is provided as a service to MangoFire and LitePoint users, customers and partners. It is an exchange for ideas, knowledge and opinions; it is not an open marketplace. The MangoFire Community is not intended for the promotion of outside services, products, websites, or organizations. Posting content that would constitute advertising, marketing, sales pitches, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation will not be allowed. Such content will be deleted without notice and your profile may be disabled or banned. You can show off your knowledge and experience by answering members’ questions and connecting with customers in that manner.
Do not post personal information – including your name, address, age, phone number, or any other private data – publicly on the MangoFire Community. Most people in the MangoFire Community are happy to help out; but remember that their advice is theirs only. You are responsible for deciding whether or not to follow it. If the advice given by a user sounds wrong to you, don’t try it.
Community Moderators & Specialists
From time to time the MangoFire Community may designate certain members as Community Moderators, or other valued member, of the MangoFire Community. This designation does not create an employee or agency relationship between LitePoint/MangoFire and this member, nor does it make this member a company spokesperson. Instead, the designation allows the community-at-large to know which members have been helpful, have provided constructive advice and have set a positive example and tone for the MangoFire Community. Like any information posted on the MangoFire Community, the opinions and advice provided by these members are their own. This content is the sole responsibility of the Community Moderator or other valued member; and anything stated in the Rules of Engagement applies to the content posted by this member.
Community Managers & Site Administrators
The MangoFire Community has designated Community Managers (CMs) and Site Administrators (SAs). These are employees of LitePoint who are charged with configuring and facilitating the MangoFire Community, assisting users and addressing technical issues. CMs and SAs will moderate as needed and provide the oversight mentioned in the IMPORTANT section above. While these individuals will post content on behalf of the MangoFire Community, they may also contribute content in their personal capacity as community members.
MangoFire & LitePoint Employees
Employees may participate in the MangoFire Community. We make an effort to identify employees with a MangoFire or LitePoint logo icon ( or ) in the lower right corner of their avatars. All employees are bound by the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, Social Media and Security policies when accessing, using, or participating in the MangoFire Community.
Employees must disclose their relationship to LitePoint/MangoFire when engaging with other members regarding products and services or networking or using social media on behalf of LitePoint/MangoFire.
When in doubt as to whether information should be made public, do not reveal it here or elsewhere.
